USB Laptop Adapter Dongle release

We have just released the new MicroTech USB style Laptop Adapter Dongle.
The new dongle has a 9 pin serial port in 1 end to connect to the MicroTech ECU & a USB port in the other end which will connect to the laptop via a high speed USB cable.
The USB dongle must use the USB driver software for it to function correctly which can be downloaded from the software section of the MicroTech website here
The new USB dongle will eliminate the problems associated with using a USB to serial port adapter for users with later model laptops which have USB ports only.

Used one very easy to use. No need for rs-232 to usb converter.

what operating systems does this work with? i have an hp laptop running windows 7 and cannot get it to work,

when i connect it through my usb, it has it labeled as com port 6, but the microtech program requires it to be 1-4, any ideas

You need to change the laptop settings so it is using com ports 1-4 & it should work fine

I am haven an issue connecting to my ecu a well, I am useing the new seril to usb dongle and set up for port 4


only thing is i don't have my engine hooked up but have hooked up every to there connectors

ecu water temp
air temp
all 6 injectors
cam postion sensor
coil packs
grounded the ground lead to the car
tps


ecu shows green light saying it is on and soild yellow

i have feeling the usb dongle is busted right out of the box

The USB dongle will not be busted out of the box.
All MicroTech products are tested before they are shipped out so the problem will be something with your set up.
Have you installed the USB driver ?????

How do you go about configuring the virtual com setting? Mine was working but its just stopped working
